Tutoring Support for Wharton MBA
Wharton School’s MBA programs have a “quant” based approach. This is often challenging for non-quant students. But the Wharton school has a strong support system in place. An online tutorial service set up by the MBA Program Office called Tutor@Wharton supports MBA students. The MBA Program Office is located at 300 Jon M. Huntsman Hall (email: mbaprogram@wharton.upenn.edu). Tutors are mainly fellow MBA students in their second year and a few Wharton PhD students. The MBA office acts as a go between between tutors and students. The detailed process on finding oneself a tutor can be found here.
The professors also offer continued support to students with group and individual tutoring. One such professor is Mr. Mike Gipe who is a Wharton alumnus and reaches out to students who need extra help with quantitative subjects. He also conducts review sessions and offers classroom support and observes students so as to make sure that no one goes unnoticed.

The college has around 18 peer advising fellows to whom the students can turn to for all their doubts and fears before undertaking a major or minor. These support systems play a crucial role in building a student friendly environment which is one of the legacies carried forward by Wharton in the past decades.
Joseph Wharton envisioned starting the first college of business in 1881. It has produced world class leaders, entrepreneurs and academicians that take the world by storm and challenge us to think differently.
