Professor James VanHorne is the A.P. Giannini Professor of Finance, Emeritus, at Stanford.  He has taught MBA courses in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, fixed income securities and nonprofit debt financing.  Professor VanHorne served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, and has served on several Federal and State of California commissions and advisory groups.  Professor VanHorne earned his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in 1957. This was followed up with an MBA in 1961 from Northwestern University. Professor VanHorne also finished his PhD from Northwestern University.

 

John M. Wachowicz, Jr. is the Regions Bank Scholar at the The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Professor Wachowicz has served students at the University of Tennessee and received a number of teaching and research awards since 1978.  Professor Wachowicz did his B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1968. This was followed up with an Master of Accounting Science from the University of Illinois in 1970. Professor Wachowicz also finished his PhD from the University of Illinois in 1978.
